The new client is an independent designer with exceptional illustration and design capabilities. Unlike the usual process, she first requested a complete color card catalog for reference, planning to fine-tune her design based on selected color tones—a sign of her high standards for color coordination and visual harmony in creating a custom hair claw.

Understanding the Challenge Behind a Creative Design
Upon receiving her initial design draft, we noticed a distinctive and highly creative style—but also significant manufacturing challenges. The artwork featured numerous splicing points with extremely fine lines. These intricate splicing segments could greatly increase production complexity, lower the yield rate, and affect the structural stability of the final product.
Drawing on our years of acetate craftsmanship experience, we proactively discussed the potential risks with the client and provided professional guidance. We suggested slightly thickening key white lines within the design—a small adjustment that preserved her original creative vision while greatly improving production feasibility and efficiency.

Explaining Techniques and Finding the Right Craft Combination
As this was her first experience producing such accessories, the client was unfamiliar with the differences between techniques such as acetate splicing, engraving, and UV printing. We patiently explained the characteristics, visual effects, and cost variations of each process.
After carefully evaluating her design concept and budget expectations, we recommended a hybrid solution that best balanced effect and cost. Initially, the client felt that the quoted price exceeded her expectations and sought a more budget-friendly alternative. To accommodate this, we proposed replacing some of the UV-printed areas with engraved patterns—maintaining a layered visual effect while significantly reducing cost.
This thoughtful adjustment aligned the design with the client’s budget without compromising artistic detail or texture.
